In the Classroom

This gallery displays student artwork from my students at Pennoyer Elementary (K-8), my student teaching semester at Glen Grove Elementary (3-5), and my mini teaching semester at North Park Elementary (K-8). Below, you can find links to my philosophy of art education, fine arts showcases and teaching experiences.

I've had the privilege of teaching K-8 Art at Pennoyer School since August 2020. For the 2020-2021 school year, art class was mostly remote over Zoom. Towards, the end of the school year we were able to transition into hybrid art class where I pushed in to the homeroom classrooms to teach the in person students and remote students over Zoom. For the 2021-2022 school year, the music teacher and I shared the art room. (The music room was needed for COVID  protocols.) We switched off using the classroom each month. When we were not teaching from the classroom, we were pushing into homeroom classroom (art on a cart). Currently, for the 2022-2023 school year, I teach every day in person in the art classroom. My goal has been to teach my students a wide range of art skills, as well as inspire them to make art that is meaningful to them. Artsonia, an online student portfolio website/app, has been such an amazing program to use with my students. Below, the Artsonia image is linked to Pennoyer's school gallery. Below that are a few of my favorite projects linked from the past years.
